His fastball velocity is down from 95.9 last year to 94.1 this year. I have been too depressed to read much about what his problems could be. I suppose it could be (a) general fatigue from last year, (b) him hiding an injury, (c) mechanical problems, (d) tipping pitches? I would expect a "phantom" trip to the DL before he faces the Nats again next week.

He had a reasonably good start two turns ago in SD where he got a bunch of swings and misses, then a start at Colorado (whatever), and last night was rough.

Of course, we all know the clock is ticking on Thor. It's just a matter of when, not if, he'll have TJ surgery.
